Latent Trajectories of Subjective Well-Being: An Application of Latent Growth Curve and Latent Class Growth Modeling

This study proposed a three-stage measurement model utilizing the Latent Growth Curve Modeling and Class Analysis. The was illustrated using repeated data collected through four-week prospective tracking subjective well-being of volunteer college students (n=154). Firstly, several unconditional growth models were estimated to define providing better representation individual trajectories. Secondly, conditional formulated test usefulness covariate variables hypothesized explain observed variance in factors. Finally, latent class explore different trajectory classes further. Results showed that students' changed over time, rate this change, as well its covariates, not constant for entire sample. clearly illustrates how longitudinal approach can enhance scope findings depth inferences when measurements are available.
